"B" Rating Reflects Strong Climate Leadership and Commitment to Transparency
Vancouver, BC — February 17th, 2025 — Tru Earth™, a multi-national, certified B Corporation, proudly announced it has achieved a “B” score on its inaugural CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) submission — the highest score attainable for a small-to-medium enterprise (SME) under CDP’s current scoring guidelines.
This "B" rating places Tru Earth among a select group of companies recognized for their strong environmental management, climate action, and transparency practices.
"At Tru Earth, we believe that true leadership in sustainability starts with accountability," said Anita Spiller, VP of ESG at Tru Earth. "Achieving the highest possible CDP score for an SME on our very first submission is a reflection of our team’s commitment to measurable, impactful environmental progress. This milestone is only the beginning of our journey toward even greater climate action."
CDP is widely recognized as the gold standard for environmental disclosure. Its rigorous evaluation process scores companies on their governance of climate risks and opportunities, emissions management, and commitment to environmental stewardship. In CDP’s system, SMEs are capped at a maximum achievable score of “B” on their first reporting cycle — making Tru Earth’s result a major benchmark of success.
Looking ahead, Tru Earth is preparing for its next CDP submission in 2025, with a goal of aligning with evolving SME-specific reporting standards. As CDP’s guidelines continue to strengthen expectations for environmental transparency among small and medium enterprises, Tru Earth remains committed to deepening its disclosures and advancing its climate strategy.
"We are honored by this recognition and motivated to keep raising the bar," Spiller added. "Our community expects us to lead by example — and we are just getting started."
